2012 marked the 150th anniversary of the John Hancock Life Insurance Company. To celebrate, the company created a corporate museum at their new headquarters in Boston’s Seaport District. Working with a dedicated internal staff team, Main Street developed a multifaceted interpretive experience that traces the evolution of one of North America’s iconic brands from its formative years into a powerful global financial services firm. Capitalizing on an exceptionally rich trove of company archives and artifacts, we showcased the evolution of John Hancock’s corporate identity through marketing and promotional materials. On a parallel track, we explored the company’s leadership in product innovation, best practices, technology, and real estate. Integrated interactive multimedia experiences invite guests to sample highlights of John Hancock’s consumer advertising over the years, and share the reminiscences of employees – even listen to a rendition of a short-lived company song!
